Pieter Franken, founder of Carriage USA imports high quality carriages from Europe made by the well-respected carriage-manufacturer Dominiak Carriages in Poland.
Dominiak has been designing and manufacturing carriages for over three generations. They are renowned for their expert knowledge in the art of carriage driving and know what is needed for competition driving (CDE’s) based on their long experience in this field.
The use of high quality steel for framework, German parts and equipment for brakes and accessories and a long history of family craftsmanship make Dominiak carriages the finest QUALITY in the world. Carriages are thoroughly inspected once they arrive at Carriage USA’s warehouse in the Netherlands before being distributed to Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, France, Ireland and to our own facility in Solvang, California.

We are proud to carry these excellent quality carriages. We have standard models but also make special orders for clients who have special wishes.
Every three months Pieter travels to the Netherlands and personally selects the new models and inspects the custom made models with the manufacturer’s representative.

At our new showroom in Solvang you will be able to see all the latest models. Carriage USA invites you to bring your horse or pony along and test drive our state of the art carriages in our driving area which includes a large arena and an open field with cones and obstacles. Pieter will also make special arrangements to bring carriages to your farm for your convenience.
